Isn’t it true, that seeing someone again for the first time, after a long time not having seen them . . .

It’s the best thing ever! Especially if you’ve missed them.

I remember about six years ago when my German guest-sister (one who lived with our family as an exchange student and one with whose family I lived for a little over a year) came to visit us in the US again.

I’ll be meaning to travel to Germany again to see her. The funny thing is how even after all that time, we just pick up again and share our lives with each other in that spot.

My guess is it may have been something similar with Jacob and Esau. Although it probably wasn’t always so with members of their families with each other.

My joy explodes when I see someone I care about once again, O God. Thank you for these connections. Amen.
