More divisions!

When would the church at Corinth finally just put it all to rest?!

Factions, divisions, and differing opinions continued to mar the relationships in the nascent church at Corinth. Paul, again being the church builder he was, tried to reconcile the groups so they could get along.

How he attempted to do so is interesting for us today.

Paul used the metaphor of a master builder to build his case that there was only one foundation in God and Christ. Everything else that came beyond that, stood on that very foundation!

It’s a simple yet incredibly clever argument, because whether you sided with Cephas or Peter or Paul, you still had to admit that Christ was the foundation of it all, holding up the entire structure.

We might learn from this today. What are your thoughts?
