We are bound by sin. We as humans cannot stop ourselves. In no way is this more clear than in addictions.
There are some who cannot understand how people could ever become addicted to something. Unfortunately, there are many more of us who know all too well how easily a human body can become hooked on something.
We hear lectures from those who love us about not making the choice to continue with our addiction - and yet we do the very thing we hate.
Only God is more powerful - and only the power of God can help us to be lifted out of addiction - and to save us from sin.
