Sometimes the Psalms hit the nail right on the head. What I mean by that is they can be so wonderfully poetic and stirring. Psalm 96 is a good example—it’s an example of the genius of the Hebrew language. Compared to Greek, Hebrew is so “open-ended” and descriptive without the precision of Greek.
In today’s Psalm, we read how the earth itself “rejoices” through all the wonders it shows.
And isn’t that true? How many times have you been inspired by the wonders of the earth? Where’s your “favorite place” that you can always go back to in your mind that inspires you?
God is there! Working within and in nature! Thanks be to God!

Psalm 96:10-13
Say among the nations, ‘The Lord is king!
The world is firmly established; it shall never be moved.
He will judge the peoples with equity.’
Let the heavens be glad, and let the earth rejoice;
let the sea roar, and all that fills it;
let the field exult, and everything in it.
Then shall all the trees of the forest sing for joy
before the Lord; for he is coming,
for he is coming to judge the earth.
He will judge the world with righteousness,
and the peoples with his truth.
