It’s easy to forget, isn’t it? I’m not talking about remembering where you last left your car keys. (Although, truth be told, the older I get the more forgetful I get with things like this, too.)
It’s easy to forget that the very reason we exist on this planet as human beings is because of God. Specifically, because of God’s love.
I suppose it’s because we are so focused on our own days, our appointments, our worries, that we forget that our lives are not our own. God is the reason for our existence. And God’s love is what drives us forward.
I thank God for daily reminders that God is why I’m here. And why you’re here, too…
Thank you, God, for creating me. Help me keep you loving presence in my heart today. Amen.
