Everything was very good. Not just the people created in God’s image. But every last thing in all of creation. And we, those very people, are a part of that creation. Not above it. Not better or more important than it. Our being created in God’s image means that it’s our job to love all of creation just as much as God does. To care for it, tend and keep it, preserve it, protect it, heal and restore it. It really is that simple.
