Studying the early church is interesting as it is eye-opening. The Christian community was still young, its members harking from different faith traditions. Still they took the time to look at the greater needs of the community and come about a plan to make everything work.

No more than now, in this day and age of online worship, COVID-19 daily warnings and dire economic circumstances, may be look to the early church as a model to provide for those in need. Some are called to daily prayer, some are called to serve, others to write, to preach, and to give.

All in all, we each have a part to play in the Body that is Christ.

What part do I play in my church, O God? Where are you calling me to give more? Amen.
