If it’s a truism that the gifts we receive soon are to be forgotten, then you can certainly apply that to a recent experience our family had while cleaning out our garage.
We’ve been living in Minnesota now for over 8 years. Previously, we lived in North Dakota, and this home has been the longest one we’ve lived in. Up to one day ago, there were STILL boxes in our garage that we had not yet unpacked or looked in since then!
I bet you can relate.
The clutter of life makes it easy to forget the stuff we had loved so much at one time.
Yet, within it all, God seems to provide the uncluttering and re-focusing that we need. That’s what the people got from God in finding a new leader who would refocus Israel on what was really important.
