Narrative Lectionary Key Verse for Today

and your lips from speaking deceit.
Depart from evil, and do good;
seek peace, and pursue it.

Sometimes I think people associate being a Christian with having things all figured out in life.

If you have Jesus, life is perfect, you need never worry again!

But it’s not true - even if you have faith in Christ, you still need to worry about how to live in a world with many different people and situations!

David makes it clear in his Psalm - God is good, he was grateful - but there are still prescriptions of how to live!

What are your prescriptions for Christian living?
