One aspect of our Roman Catholic brothers and sisters I truly appreciate is the tradition of calling those who have taken vows with the names: brother, sister, mother, father.

Of course, where that breaks down is that Jesus meant that ALL believers lived in this sort of relationship to each other.

Try it this week. When you get to work, go to someone you know and ask them, “How are you doing today, brother/sister?” The familial relationship of humanity will bring us closer, knowing that we are all related in God’s creation.
