Astounded anybody lately? I certainly haven’t. It takes an awful lot to create that kind of bewildered wonder, and nothing I do, no matter how interesting, is going to generate that kind of response.
God, on the other hand, regularly astounds. A sunrise, a baby’s smile, the way the human body heals, stories of lives transformed, communities working for justice. These moments and movements remind us that God is powerfully present in our lives.
Loving God, open my eyes to the wonder of your work in the world. Amen.
