Sometimes I think I’m permanently stuck as a 19 year old guy, behavior-wise. I like to be the rebel, is what I’m saying.
Two supports undergird the foundations of rebellion:
1) The need for individuality.
2) The need to voice our resentment of our elders.
That isn’t to say that rebellion isn’t sometimes warranted. Just look at the history of the United States and you’ll see it’s steeped in rebellion, and sometimes rightfully so.
But often, we make rebellion its own idol, because . . . I just gotta be me.
And you just gotta be you.
The theme goes on. It’s okay to question it and be confronted with our juvenile attitudes.
