I was born into the faith.
I have never had the joy of seeing someone become a new convert.
I have walked with people who lost their faith and came back - but there’s something extremely special about the joy of first discovering God’s love for you.
What I notice in our church today is less worry about bringing new people into the faith, and more about bolstering our numbers and attendance.
I understand the reason for our worry in numbers…but I wonder if we can really measure success that way.
How can we shift the focus of church from attendance to bringing people closer to God? Can we let go of numbers?
