I have a file on my computer that contains dozens of pictures I like to display on my computer desktop while I work. Being a professional freelance writer takes a ton of creative thought and effort. And, strangely, I sometimes like to shift my attention to a photograph or picture that makes me feel at home, at ease.
The above photo is one I have on my computer. It might be winter in the photo above, but boy, does it look cozy and warm in that house! Right?
Going home or feeling at home doesn’t always imply going to a specific place, though. Truly going home means that we connect ourselves with others we consider family or friends. Maybe that’s the take we need to bring with us from today’s daily reading. Israel could always return home, but that always meant that there would be others around with whom the people needed to foster a relationship.
