Jesus’s miracles gave him notariaty.

Perhaps we can think of Jesus as the ultimate pop star!

Instead of songs that thrill our ears, Jesus had words and healing that fed the people’s very souls.

Think of how some adults think of modern pop stars - that they are ruining the youth of today.

Perhaps this fame is what started the leaders of Jesus’ time to mistrust and dislike Jesus so stringently…a new sensation is always threatening to the old regime!

But we know Jesus was here to shake things up in a good way!

Narrative Lectionary Daily Reading:

Jesus went throughout Galilee, teaching in their synagogues and proclaiming the good news of the kingdom and curing every disease and every sickness among the people. So his fame spread throughout all Syria, and they brought to him all the sick, those who were afflicted with various diseases and pains, demoniacs, epileptics, and paralytics, and he cured them. And great crowds followed him from Galilee, the Decapolis, Jerusalem, Judea, and from beyond the Jordan.
