Praise God's Magnificent Creation

Narrative Lectionary Daily Devotions written by Kace Leetch from Clergy Stuff.

Even as the psalmist faces "the wicked," they find reasons to praise the creator of all things. They sing praise in the midst of struggle, and meditation in the presence of "sinners." Sometimes it takes a pause, a step back, a quiet moment of mindfulness, for us to see the splendor and glory of God. The magnificence of God is all around us -- in the mountains, the lakes, the desert; in bugs, squirrels, and lions; in water, breeze, and fire; in babies, adults, elderly; in black and white and in color. All we need to do is look, and we will see something worth praising God for.

A time lapse of Gods creation to the song Overwhelmed by Big Daddy Weave that reminds us the everything is His creation and it all cries out for His glory. Yet even as we sit so small and insignificant here on earth we are His creation as well and he desires to have a relationship with us.

Narrative Lectionary Text: Psalm 104:31-35

May the glory of the Lord endure for ever;
   may the Lord rejoice in his works—
who looks on the earth and it trembles,
   who touches the mountains and they smoke.
I will sing to the Lord as long as I live;
   I will sing praise to my God while I have being.
May my meditation be pleasing to him,
   for I rejoice in the Lord.
Let sinners be consumed from the earth,
   and let the wicked be no more.
Bless the Lord, O my soul.
Praise the Lord!
