The Gift of God's Holy Spirit

Narrative Lectionary Daily Devotions written by Kace Leetch from Clergy Stuff.

God's gift to us of God's Holy Spirit is no small gesture. It means we live with God in a manner that is more intimate than any other of the gods allowed. It is not enough for God to be worshiped from afar. God desires us -- all of us -- living with God, breathing God's breath, thinking as God thinks, feeling as God feels. With God's Spirit, we literally have God living within each of us.

If you have ten minutes, plug in your earbuds and meditate to Kari Jobe's Holy Spirit. Let God's Spirit soothe your soul today.

Narrative Lectionary Text: 1 John 4:13-14

By this we know that we abide in him and he in us, because he has given us of his Spirit. And we have seen and do testify that the Father has sent his Son as the Savior of the world.
