Considering that, back in Jesus' day, kids were simply thought of as inchoate, as-of-yet-unformed people . . . it makes Jesus' proclamation that children are not only to be accepted, but that they are already whole human beings — well, it's a radical proclamation. But that's who Jesus is, a radical.
