God asks Ananias to do the impossible: to love and forgive a dangerous enemy, an enemy of the church, Saul, who has persecuted the still-developing church. Saul is blinded after meeting Jesus on the road. God is sending Ananias to heal and care for Saul. Ananias has some reservations, and finds this a very difficult request to fulfill. In the end, Ananias chooses obedience to God, and agrees to help Saul.
